3D Criteria:



Purpose



For some time concern has been expressed as to how funding should be provided to competitors with a desire to attend the Canadian 3D Nationals. The intent would be to provide available funding to those AANS competitors that have met the requirements as established by the executive of

AANS.



Rules



The applicant must:



1. Be a paid up member of A.ANS.

2. Have membership paid prior to the first sanctioned shoot in a given year.

3. Must participate in the same category for a minimum of four (4) sanctioned shoots, with one (1) being the Provincial 3D.

4. There will be “zero tolerance” for any misrepresentation of scores, should this occur, the competitor will be disqualified for that year.

5. Have paid their registered for the Canadian 3D Nationals before the Provincial 3D competition

6. Have made application to AANS for funding prior to the Nova Scotia Provincial 3D competition.

7. All shoots will be double scored, with the archer retaining one score card





All classes of competition may be considered for funding by the Executive of AANS





The FCA rules must be followed for each AANS sanctioned shoot.





Scoring Format



Scores from a given sanctioned shoot will be calculated on a point basis. The three (3) best scores plus the provincial score will be used to determine the overall score The following table is an example of the points to be awarded by sanctioned shoot





Scoring will be as follows:

1st = 20 pts

2nd -18 pts

3rd -16 pts

4th -14 pts

5th -12pts

6th- 10 pts

7th = 8 pts
8th - 6 pts

9th - 4 pts

10th - 2 pts

All others - 0 pts

 





Clubs Sanctioned Shoot Responsibility



Each club that hosts a sanctioned shoot will be responsible to record all shooters scores on an official score sheet provide by AANS Executive. This sheet must be signed and witnessed by the clubs shoot organizers and forwarded to the AANS vice president of 3D in order for the shooters scores to be registered. Any results not received by the Vice President of 3-D within two weeks of the competition will be considered invalid. The 2008 FCA 3D rules must be followed for all AANS sanctioned shoots.
