One Exemption applies. The scores shot at FCAs 2010 Indoor Regionals also qualify. Archers have to submit their scores in order to qualify.

Each score must be shot at a sanctioned AANS qualifier shoot or FCAs 2010 Indoor Regionals with a minimum qualifier score of:

AANS indoor scores can be used for recurve archers, and converted equivalent scoring for inner 10s can be used for compound archers.

The average of the 3 best scores (one of which must have been shot outside the home zone) will determine the ranking. If there are more than two archers in any division, final Team selection will be at the last Canada Games Team Qualifier in November 2011.

The trials will be held on one weekend, utilizing 3-spot vertical faces. Attendance is compulsory. Those divisions with 2 or fewer archers in them will be invited to attend the trials for experience.

Attendance at the Canada Games Archery Test Event at the Sackville High School in September is compulsory.

A provincial team training camp will be held in January 2011. Attendance is compulsory.

ATTENTION ALL AANS MEMBERS AND CLUBS:

RE: 2011 CANADA WINTER GAMES

For preparation of Nova Scotias Archery Team to the indoor archery event at the 2011 Canada Winter Games, AANS and the Nova Scotia Archery Core Team is searching for clubs willing to hold the following events:

??Registered FITA 1 indoor tournaments between August 1 and November 30, 2011. These events will be 18-meter FITA Round (60 arrows) shot at 40cm target faces.

- Vertical 3-spot faces are requested to be used for Core Team participants.

- AANS needs interested clubs throughout the province.

- Interested Clubs must have a minimum club-level certified judge on hand and at least 3 competitors participating in the event.

??One site is needed for the Provincial team training camp to be held on a weekend in January 2011.

- Vertical 3-spot faces are obligatory for this event.

Since archers must be 21-years of age or younger, billeting opportunities would be appreciated as some archers may be traveling from other areas to compete.

Note:

All tournaments should be registered with AANS at your earliest possible convenience. Last date for registering tournaments is at the AANS Directors Meeting in November, 2010.

All these tournaments will be for archers registered in the Core Team, as well as anyone else wanting to shoot them except for the Provincial Training camp and the Canada Games Archery Test Event.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Ricky Comeau, Provincial Team Coach, Canada Winter Games 2011
